The Antiphons found in the Roman Missal are meant to be pronounced when there is no singing. The rubrics for the Preparation of the Gifts are clear. If there is no singing , the antiphon is omitted with the Preparation of the Gifts is pronounced aloud with the Congregation responding: Blessed be God for ever when appropriate.
